Sac City Council fails to trim size of city employee pool
SAC CITY, IOWA – JUNE 28, 2010
Every year at the end of June, the Sac City Council has the option to rehire the current crop of city employees, and at what wages they will rehire them. This act is completed by resolution, which in this case was not read aloud, making it pointless to observe the proceedings.
The following document is that resolution with the highest and lowest hourly rates highlighted. Annette Green is the most junior hourly employee and was not actually officially hired until after this resolution was passed. Ms. Green’s official hiring squeaked by on a 3 to 2 against vote later in the evening.
