Orville Anthony Meister, age 81, of Wall Lake, Iowa, passed away on Father’s Day, June 20, 2010, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge,

Iowa.


Orville was born on January 25, 1929, in Lake View, the son of George and Clara (Stangl) Meister. He lived in the Lake View-Wall Lake area his

entire life, graduating from Lake View High School in 1947. On January 9, 1951, he was inducted into the United States Army serving in Korea

with his twin brother, Kenneth. He was honorably discharged on December 13, 1952.


He was united in marriage to Norma Weinbrandt on June 8, 1963. This union was blessed with a son Mark and daughter Michele. They made

their home in Wall Lake.


Orville worked as a laborer for the Chicago North Western Railway from 1964 to 1984. He enjoyed reading and having coffee with the guys

downtown. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the American Legion Chalon Post No. 262 of Wall Lake.


Survivors include his wife Norma; son Mark of Wall Lake; daughter Michele and husband Anthony Fakeri of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren: Nick

Meister of Wall Lake and Ariana and Noah Fakeri of Kansas City; sister Margaret and husband Albert Lampe of Mosinee, WI; extended family

members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Lloyd, Kenneth, Melvin and Hilbert.
