Interment: following the services June 26, 2010 at Cedar Cemetery, Lytton, Iowa.


Claudette C. Scheffler, age 63, of Sac City, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at her residence in Sac City.


Claudette Rohlfing was born in Sac City, on May 6, 1947, the eldest child born to Albert and Clara (Clack) Rohlfing. On June 15, 1947, she was

baptized at Emanuel-St. John Lutheran Church. She lived in Lytton while growing up and graduated from Lytton Community High School in 1965.

She was married to Robert Scheffler they later divorced.


Claudette’s life revolved around her daughter Nicci and grandson Justin Rohlfing. She was a loving mother, grandma, best sister, greatest aunt,

and friend who loved to help others. She always tried to be there for everyone and loved being around people, had a great laugh, and was a good

cook. Claudette enjoyed the years she spent living in Omaha and Chicago. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, and playing cards. She will

be truly missed by those who knew and loved her. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary in Lytton.


Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Nicci (Kyle) Timmerman of Sac City; grandson Justin Robert Rohlfing (her whole world) of

Sac City; brother Albert “Junior” (Nicky) Rohlfing of Carthage, MO; sister Annette Wallerstedt and friend Blaine Blessington of Lake View; nieces

and nephews: Shanon (Michelle) Rohlfing, Joel Rohlfing, Crissa Rohlfing, Justin Barlow and friend Jodie McAndrew, and Mercedes Barlow and

friend Bill Bogue; four great nephews; and many friends.


Claudette was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Clara Rohlfing and brother Fred Rohlfing.
