Iowa State Bank Board Room
The Boards of Education of the Sac and Wall Lake View Auburn Community School Districts met in special joint session on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 8:15 A.M. in the board room of the Iowa State Bank Building, Sac City, Iowa with the following board members present:
SAC: Shirley Phillips, Melissa Bellcock, Dave Sands, Marti Huser, and Brent Wilhelm
WLVA: Chuck Brotherton, Lisa Drost, Jack DeBourgh, Shannon Mahannah, and Chris Rodman. Also present were Gaylord Tryon and David Haggard of G. Tryon & Associates and board secretaries John Kraft and Frank Strain.
Meeting was called to order by Presidents Brotherton and Phillips.
Motion by Sands and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 5-0. WLVA also approved the agenda.
Motion by Huser and seconded by Bellcock to move into closed session under the provisions of Chapter 21.5.1.i. Code of Iowa for the purpose of conducting interviews with candidates for the position of superintendent since those candidates had requested closed sessions. Motion carried on a roll-call vote with all five board members voting “yes”. WLVA Board passed the same motion and closed session began at 8:25 A.M.
The boards returned to open session at 7:04 P.M.
Motion by Sands and seconded by Huser to adjourn. Motion carried 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 7:05 P.M.
