Standoff Southeast of Sac City, Iowa ends peaceably
Sac City, Iowa - March 24, 2010
At 5:00PM the first rumors of a police pursuit and standoff in Sac County, Iowa swept around the internet. The chase is said to have started near Lake City, Iowa, but this is not confirmed.
The following is a brief statement from Sac County Sheriff Ken McClure regarding the facts of the chase and subsequent standoff. The first words are a little clipped, they are, "A Sac County Resident was threatening suicide..."
There will be a more detailed report sometime on March 25, 2010.
