The Young Raider Wrestlers of the East Sac Middle School wandered to Rockwell City to take part in the eight team Rockwell City - Lytton Invite. Unlike other Middle School Sports, no team scores are kept in Middle School Wrestling. But as a team, the boys went 13-17 on the day and in some cases defeated wrestlers that had beaten them earlier this season.
Getting two wins each on the day for ESC were Jordan Bieret, Michael Carnes, Chris Villhauer, and Justin Carstens. One match winners were Taylor Strong, Cassidy Hudson, Tyler Meischeid and Adam Murley.
Bieret, Strong, Carstens and Meischeid each had wins by pin, while Villauer's two wins were both in overtime.
This was the second tournament of the year for the boys and they performed much better than they did in their previous outing. It was fun to see the boys hard work pay off. The Young Raiders next action will be at Prairie Valley on Tuesday and at Manson on Friday.
