Schaller woman treated for non-life threatening injuries in September 9 accident

Sac County Sheriff's Office is investigating a single vehicle accident that occurred Friday September 9, 2011 at 4:30 PM at the intersection of Hwy 110 and Hwy 20 south of Schaller, Iowa.

According to the Sac County Sheriff’s Department, 56-year old Nancy Jean Overmohle of Schaller, Iowa was operating a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer and was traveling south on Hwy 110 when she failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Hwy 20. Overmohle entered the south ditch and came to a stop.

Overmohle was transported to BVRMC by Sac County Ambulance where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Acccoding to the Sac County Sheriff’s Department, alcohol may have been a factor in this accident and the case remains open pending toxicology results from the DCI Crime Lab. Overmohle has been cited for failing to obey a stop sign.

Schaller Ambulance and Schaller Fire Department responded to the scene.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
