Lake View City Council members discuss the use of comp time for exempt (salaried) employees
LAKE VIEW, IOWA – JUNE 21, 2010
1. In years past, this wasn’t an issue, but this winter, the guys built up massive amounts of overtime.
2. The City Council has decided to let the administrator and department heads determine a solution that will allow for some comp time, and let the work get done… which is basically the way it is going now, with a vote of No from Laney.
3. During the discussion the following documents showing how comp time is handled in other towns were presented for consideration. The first document was submitted by the city administrator, the second document was submitted by the city employee with the issue.
