Minutes of the May 18, 2010 Sac County Supervisors meeting

The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Dean Stock, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to appoint Kari Limbert and Mary Feilmeier to the Early City Library Board. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve a liquor license renewal application submitted by Carnarvon Inn. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve the drainage claims as submitted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve the chemical brush control quote submitted by B & W Control Specialists for 9.2 miles of open ditch in Joint DD 181 totaling $16,750.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to accept a drainage repair request on Joint DD 2 & 51 and refer that request to Kuehl and Payer for investigation. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board acknowledged receipt of a petition for improvement on Jt DD 2 & 51 but took no action pending the results of the investigation by Kuehl and Payer.
Sherrie Wilson, Sac County Planning and Zoning Officer, presented applications for building permits within the Urban Transition districts of Sac City and Early.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve a building permit application submitted by Alan Domino to build a 60’ x 80’ storage shed in Section 19, Cedar Twp and a building permit application submitted by Ken Determan to build a 8’ x 16’ storage shed in Section 1, Levy Twp. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Hecht to approve a late bill from Verizon Wireless submitted by Sac County CPC to be added to the claims register. Ayes all, motion carried.
The Board reviewed a proposal to replace the boiler in the courthouse addition. No action was taken pending further discussion.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
