Updated Road Closings for Highway 20 bypass in Sac County, Iowa

SAC COUNTY, IOWA

Hopefully the rainy period is over and farmers can get to planting and contractors can get back to moving dirt.

N28 is scheduled to be closed Monday May 2nd so C.J. Moyna can move dirt across the road for new 4-lane Hwy 20 and building N28 up to meet the new highway. The contractor estimates that N28 will be closed 2-3 months. Traffic will be detoured to N14.

Details are still being worked out on closing M50 south of Nemaha but it will possibly be closed in the next week. It will be closed for 3-4 months while C.J. Moyna builds up new 4-Lane Hwy 20 and M50. Traffic will be detoured to Hwy 71.

Throughout the year various gravel roads will be closed so the contractor can build them up to meet new Hwy 20.

Please drive carefully and follow posted detours. As with all road construction projects the progress depends on the weather.
