Minutes of the January 11, 2011 Sac County Supervisors Meeting

The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jack Bensley, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.

Lisa Paysen, Sac County Fair Manager, addressed the Board to present the 09-10 fiscal report and to request a 3% increase in the annual funding for the Sac County Fair. Part of the discussion included improvements to the fair grounds and buildings and projects for the upcoming year as well as the schedule for the 2011 county fair. No action was taken.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to adopt Resolution #11-0111 implementing a “No weapons” policy for the courthouse, the West and the South annexes, the secondary roads shops and the engineers office. Ayes Hecht, Stock and Bensley; nays none, motion carried.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve the County Treasurer’s semi-annual report for the period ending December 31, 2010. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve the County Recorder’s quarterly report for the quarter ending December 31, 2010. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to increase the mileage rate reimbursement to employees using personal vehicles for county business from 40cents per mile to 45 cents per mile effective January 12, 2011. Ayes all, motion carried.

Peg Dettmann, Sac County Veteran’s Affairs Director, requested permission to have a dedication of the veteran’s memorial on the courthouse lawn on Sunday, May 29, 2011. Permission was granted.

The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve an application for a 6” tile crossing between Sections 16 and 21, Coon Valley Twp. Ayes all, motion carried.

With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
