Pilot wildflower program to be conducted as alternative to mowing in Sac City, Iowa
SAC CITY, IOWA – AUGUST 23, 2010
Following is the city administrator’s instructions to the council addressing Dr. Youberg’s suggestion that some areas be relieved of mowing and turned into prairie.
The city council punted the issue to the Trees Forever Committee, who I’m told is leaning in the direction of holding a pilot program at the waste water treatment plant. The WWTP will be ready to be seeded in roughly two years.
