Skyler David Harlen, 27 days old, son of Johnie Harlen and Leslie Courter, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.
Skyler David Harlen was born July 8, 2010, in Des Moines, Iowa, to parents Johnie Harlen and Leslie Courter. He was baptized on August 3, 2010. In his short life he managed to touch so many people. His family will always remember him as a strong fighter. Skyler will be dearly missed by many that knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Johnie Harlen and Leslie Courter, Oskaloosa, IA; half-sister Hailey Harlen, Russellville, AR; grandparents: Mary Lou Booth, Sac City, IA; and Linda Harlen, Russellville, AR; great-grandparents: Russell and Myrt Courter, Sac City, IA; and Leslie and Ida Higgins, Dover, AR; aunts: Tessa Manthe (Shawn Tjaden), Sac City, IA; Marianne Carnine, Sac City, IA; and Teresa Harlen, Russellville, AR; uncle: Brian Harlen, Russellville, AR; cousins: Madison and Seth Manthe, Jayden Carnine, and Makylee Cromwell, all of Sac City; and many other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Eldora Harlan; and special friend Cody Hammond.
