Funeral Service: Friday, 10:30 a.m., July 23, 2010 at United Methodist Church in Odebolt.
Interment: Friday July 23, 2010 at the Odebolt Cemetery.


Vickie Neville, age 54, of Odebolt, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove. Vickie Lynn O’Brien was born on April 26, 1956 at Ida Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Tom and Jeanette (Tolstedt) O’Brien. She was baptized in July of 1956 at the Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek where she was also confirmed in May of 1970. Vickie graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1974.


On August 18, 1974, Vickie was united in marriage to James Neville at the Presbyterian Church in Odebolt. They made their home in Odebolt where they raised their daughters: Tonya, Kaylinn, Trisha, and Kandi.


Vickie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a wonderful, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to all. She enjoyed working with the public and meeting people at the restaurant where she worked as a waitress, going camping with her family, and was on the ambulance crew in Odebolt. Vickie lived life to the fullest.


Survivors include her husband James Neville of Odebolt; daughters: Tonya Sohm of Battle Creek, Kaylinn (Bobby) Schlender of Odebolt, Trisha (Jeremiah) Kruckenberg of Odebolt, and Kandi Neville of Odebolt; her parents Tom and Jeannette O’Brien of Battle Creek; brother Tom O’Brien, Jr. of Battle Creek; sister Cheryl (Marc) Van Houten of Battle Creek; grandchildren: Brady, Kelsey and Bryce Schlender, Tyler, Zane, and Brennen Sohm, and Trey and Shalea Kruckenberg; extended family members and many friends.


Vickie was preceded in death by George and Dorothy Neville; Tom and Inez O’Brien; and Chet and Clare Tolstedt.
