New Zoning maps no help to Sac City Zoning Officer
SAC CITY, IOWA – APRIL 4, 2011
It was revealed at the April 4, 2011 Sac City Planning and Zoning meeting that after years of effort and $500.00 in expense to the tax payers of Sac City, the new planning and zoning maps are unsuitable for use by the Planning and Zoning Officer, Terry Duffy.
Said Sac City Planning and Zoning Chair Shirley Phillips, “They do have the lots on there, but don’t have the measurements, so Terry [Duffy] has to hang on to his old maps, which is a good thing.”
Why this is a good thing Phillips did not say.
According to Sac City Administrator Adam Ledford, the money for the new maps was appropriated from the city’s general fund and does technically fulfill the requirement of “zoning map.”
