SAC CITY, IOWA – APRIL 4, 2011
1. Shirley Phillips recommends that the board recommend to the Sac City Council that a site plan be included with all requests for building permits.
- P&Z officer already receives site plans when there is an expert architect involved.
- Frohardt argues that it should only be for commercial and industrial sites, and not for homes.
-- Several portions of site plan seem over the top.
- Majority of board say they are in favor of implementing this for residential properties.
- Discussion about how the Sac City Board of Adjustment “ran wild” last year.
- No other towns in the county have this kind of plan in place for residential homes.
- The board agrees to take a look at the current building permit requirement before taking any action.
