Viewer expresses concern over closed Sac Aquatic Center
A viewer asked the following on June 3, 2010:
Jst wondering if you knew when the pool was going to be open... there are so many rumors going around I don't know what is what. :) My kids are chopin at the bit to swim! Thanks
Here's what I found out:
1. According to the Sac City Clerk Sandy Tellinghuisen, the tests came back on June 3, 2010 and the chemical balance has been deemed safe... unfortunately, the pool heater has now malfunctioned. According to Ms. Tellinghuisen, they hope to be open on June 4, 2010.
The Sac Aquatic Center Facebook ( http://www.facebook.com/Saccityaquaticcenter) page has been curiously quiet and not helpful in communicating this information to the public.

I hope the city is correct and the pool is open asap. There are a lot of kids who are really bored wanting to go to the pool. Hope it will be a good summer.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't you think the City would fill the pool well in advance of the opening day to work out the chemical problems and make any repairs.
ReplyDeletethey haven't in the past so why start now? Anyway, it is open so quit complaining and get down there
