VIDEO - Why would anyone want to attend a Sac City Council meeting if they are going to be treated like this?
SAC CITY, IOWA – MAY 24, 2010
1. This is a good example of what is in my opinion wrong with the current governing style of the Sac City Council and Mayor.
- No details of the resolution were immediately available to the public, making atttendence and observation of meeting pointless.
- City charges $0.25 to any citizen that wants to have copy of document in hand to review at time of discussion, but must be requested before beginning of meet.
- No reading of the resolution given aloud, making the purchase of copy of document nessesary to understanding of what is being voted on.
- No discussion that would really give the public a sense of what the implications of this resolution are.
- Discussion centers on self congratulatory talk about how hard Adam worked on it annd how much Jim likes it.
2. Following is a copy of that resolution.
