Where were those people? A few of the EMS complainers were going door to door to the elderly residents attempting to coax them to the Lake City shelter since nothing was set up here and coordinating rides for them or taking them themselves. The Fire Department complainers gave their cell phone number out over the radio for citizens to call it to coordinate going door to door to generate their fridges and freezers. Where was Dave Potthoff and Randy Schulte? Scooping out areas so the tree people and electricians could get to where they needed to go to get power restored. They didn't even get a thank you and didn't charge the city either. Where was the extra generator Dave had? Going to other residents to use for their fridge and freezer as well. So...get facts straight before you bitch. Huge failure on our local government, can we say caught with our pants down?
ReplyDeleteOH and a big thank you to Potthoff's and their kids who made food and brought it out to the electric guys from Missouri who were working nonstop to get power back. The electricians appreciated it! How dare you have a generator to stay warm, especially with a newborn grandson! (*Sarcasm)

ReplyDeleteFor your information and Shane Kings information the "complainers" were out at a moments notice when snow needed to be removed for the electricians to do their work. By the complainers I mean Randy Schulte, Dave Potthoff and Ted Jansen. Out of those three there was no bill submitted for their hours or for the equipment that they used except for Ted Jensen (wildcat farms $50). So to say where were they when all this was going down, Shane they WENT to their garage and put on their coveralls and got out there and worked while you and Dustin drove around in your nice warm truck!!! So to bad mouth these individuals for not doing anything on the "city wide clean up day" is ridiculous! Thank you Dave and Randy for your efforts since some people seem to only want to award those that bring attention to the minor things they do. For all those who read this the surface may seem pretty to this town but once you scratch the surface and really look what is happening there is only one phrase that comes to mind "what the hell!!" All we can do is pray for our city government to change in 2012!!!!!!!
