Bonnie Mae Morrison, age 80, of Lytton, Iowa, passed away on the 26th anniversary of her husband’s death, Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Loring Hospital in Sac City.


Bonnie was born on December 26, 1929, in Calhoun County, the daughter of Edward and Louise (Kruskop) Rix. She was baptized and confirmed at Emanuel-St. John Lutheran Church and graduated from Lytton High School in 1948. She continued her education, earning her C.N.A. She worked as a nurses assistant for 23 years at Loring Hospital.


On June 9, 1951, Bonnie was united in marriage to Tracy W. Morrison in Calhoun County, Iowa. They made their home in Lytton. To this union a daughter, Elizabeth, and son, Tracy, was born.


Bonnie had many hobbies which included quilting at church Do Days, attending Ruth Circle, candy making, especially peanut butter cups, cake decorating, and gardening. She also loved to listen to country music.


Survivors include her children: Elizabeth A. Kephart and husband Tom of Murphy, NC, and Tracy L. Morrison and wife Doris of White Bear Lake, MN; grandchildren: Bradley Morrison and wife Jennifer of Forest Lake, MN, Kelly Kephart and wife Elizabeth of Cape Coral, FL, Anna Morrison of White Bear Lake, MN, and Brian Kephart and fiancée Kelly McWhorter, of Lehigh Acres, FL; three great-grandchildren: Logan and Tyler Morrison, and Melody Kephart; extended family members and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Louise Rix; husband Tracy; and sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Jim Babb.
