The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jack Bensley, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to amend the agenda to consider acting as fiscal agent for an endowment grant application. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to support the Sac County Conservation Board’s application for a grant through the County Endowment program and agree to act as fiscal agent for the grant. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve the drainage claims as submitted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve a proposed tile repair in Drainage District 62, located in Section 20, Delaware Twp for an estimated cost of $450.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve a proposed tile repair in Joint Drainage District 195, Calhoun and 29, Sac Counties located in Section 29 Jackson Twp, Calhoun County for an estimated cost of $5,000.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
Deanne Dentlinger and Amanda Downey from Blue Cross / Blue Shield insurance and Tom Schuetz from Group Services were present to discuss group health insurance rates for 2011/12 renewal. The Board was informed that there would be a 16.21% rate increase over the current rate. Mr. Schuetz will review the rates and offer some options as far as larger deductibles or increasing the buy down on the self-funding portion of the premium. No action was taken.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
