LAKE VIEW, IOWA - March 21, 2011
The premiums for the health insurance provided to city employees in the City of Lake View have decreased by 5.47%. According to the city administrator, Scott Peterson, the reason for the lower premium is primarily due to a lowering in the risk level as a result of not having one particular employee. The exclusion of this employee lowered the average age enough to lower premium.
The city council voted unanimously to renew the Wellmark plan with the following rates.
