Wall Lake City Council authorizes credit cards for city employees, mayor
WALL LAKE, IOWA – JANUARY 24, 2011
Wall Lake City Council decided to go with credit card as opposed to debit cards because it is easier to put a limit on them and stop payment. Each card would have to be in a specific name, and an amount would be assigned a specific amount, with the Mayor or clerk being the main card holder and everyone else being issued cards under them.
The cards would be kept in the city office and employees would be authorized a certain amount when checking them out and using them for training, etc.
The council authorized 4 cards in the names of Mark, Rick, Darrel, and Mayor Steve Druivniga with maximum limits of $500.00 each.
