- Council cannot act on request, but will look into it.

14. Sac City Receives no bids to replace water treatment plant vertical Co2 tank, votes to re-open bidding in two weeks time.
15. Sac City Council approves contract to install playground equipment in Chautauqua park.
16. Sac City Council does not forgive Louie Carnine’s water and sewer bill.
17. Council unable to review report from main insurance provider for the city’s buildings and structures.
18. Extended discussion about “Old Matt’s Shoes.”
- Sac City Planning and Zoning shows the council pictures of properties they feel need to be fixed.
--Frohardt asks if adjacent property owners would be willing to assume liability for damage done as a result of bringing the property down.
- Councilor Brenny suggests engaging in an embarrassment campaign against the family that manages the L.L.C. that owns the building.
- Frohardt suggests getting a permit and sitting on Carroll Main Street with signs telling Carroll residents about the problem.
- City Administrator illustrates how local option sales tax is being used.
- SDC representatives suggest establishing a long term plan for funding the demolition of dilapidated buildings.
- City cannot apply for money to help demolish dilapidated buildings without owning the properties.
- City administrator instructed to start the process of hiring a structural engineer for an amount not to exceed $5,000.00.
- City administrator directed to find out if city has to own building to ask for Keep Iowa Beautiful grant.

- Frohardt suggests establishment of beautiful home contests to help citizens feel more pride in their properties.
