Interment: June 16, 2010 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Auburn, following the memorial service.


Adeline Evelyn Hale, age 67, of Lake City, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010, at Stewart Memorial Hospital in Lake City. Adeline was born on November 23, 1942, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the daughter of Raymond and Edeth (Duvall) Bouchard. She lived in Massachusetts and California while growing up and attended New Bedford elementary school through the eighth grade.


On July 19, 1960, Adeline was united in marriage to Thomas Hale, Sr. Three children were born to this union: Thomas, Rhonda, and Ramona.


Adeline worked as a laborer doing line assembly work, until retiring in 1985. She enjoyed reading, watching western movies, being outside and more than anything else, spending time with the kids and grandkids. Her family fondly remembers one Thanksgiving when Adeline was cooking the turkey, how it didn’t get done, and the kid’s knocked it on the floor. They have many fun memories while growing up and will miss her terribly.


Survivors include her daughters: Rhonda Johnson and husband Barry of Auburn and Ramona Carothers of Lake City; her sister Isabell Sulham of Attleboro, MA; brothers: Raymond (Mary) Bouchard of San Bernardino, CA, Ted (Shirley) Bouchard of Griswold, IA, Paul and Wayne Bouchard both of Auburn; grandchildren: Lisa, Stephen, and Brian Hale all of Auburn, Justin Honeycutt of Denison, Scott and Derric Honeycutt of Auburn, David and Kasey Rae Hale of Lake City; many extended family members and friends.


Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers: Earl and Baby B; sister Pauline (Bouchard) Dore; and son Thomas Hale, Jr. who passed away June 4, 2010.
