March 2, 2010 Sac County Supervisor's meeting twitter stream

Because of a technical problem the Sac County Supervisor tweets didn't get broadcast in real time.
Here is the entire feed.

The Sac County Supervisors (SCS) meeting was called to order without Dean Stock who is stranded in Tennessee due to weather.

The minutes of the February 23 Sac County Supervisors meeting were approved without challenge.

The agenda was amended to include a discussion about DD73 changes.

The amended agenda was approved.

The DD73 annexation and right of way acquisition hearing has been rescheduled for April 13, 2010 at 10:30.

The board appointed Elaine Rex from Odebolt to the board of adjustment.

Rhonda Dean and Jenny Ahlers are making their annual funds request from the county...
They work for CAASA, the Center Against Abuse and Sexual Assault...
They have taken a 12% cut in funding in the last 2 years and are asking for a donation of $1,000...
Hecht and Bensley seem to think that they funded CAASA at $2,500 last year...
If the CAASA reps find that that's true, then they intend to ask for that amount...
They will check during the recess...
Because donations have gone down so far, they plan to cut a staff person...
That will bring their staff down to 7 people for 8 counties...

During recess it was discovered that:
In 07-08 the SCS paid CAASA $2,500...
In 08-09 CAASA didn't request funding...
In 09-10 the board approved $2,500 but it was never collected...
There is no request for 10-11...

CAASA has applied for the 09-10 funding, which they are likely to get….
The request for 10-11 has been either withdrawn or rejected, but not formally…
CAASA did not submit their request in time, so they are not likely to have their request approved for 10-11.

Rhonda Dean of CAASA said our county roads are "Fabulous" compared to other counties.

The Sac County Supervisors just approved the claims without comment.

Sac County Ambulance has rescheduled for next week.

Meeting adjourned
