Wall Lake Man trapped in car after single vehicle accident Friday night

Wall Lake, Iowa -
The Sac County Sheriff's Office is investigating a single vehicle accident that occurred east of Wall Lake on 350th (D-54). The accident occurred on Friday night September 2, 2011 at 11:28PM.

According to investigators, Brian Lee Freese age 44 of Wall Lake was operating a 1995 Buick Lesabre and lost control rounding the north curve. Freese entered the west ditch and struck a concrete culvert. The accident left Freese was trapped in the car. The Lake View Fire Department was called to extricate Freese with the Jaws of Lifeafter which he was transported to Stewart Memorial Hospital in Lake City by Sac County Ambulance.

Alcohol and or controlled substance may be a factor in this accident. Authorities also report that a substance believed to be marijuana was found on Freese. Blood was drawn from Freese and has been sent to the DCI Lab along with the suspected marijuana for analysis. Charges are pending these results.

Wall Lake Fire Department, Lake View Fire and Police Departments assisted the Sheriff's Office at the scene.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
