The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Rick Hecht, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve the drainage claims as submitted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to re-appoint Chuck Schulte to the Sac County Civil Service Commission. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to cancel the following outstanding warrants: #131449 issued to The Storm Lake Times for $11.70, #130557 issued to Mack, Hansen, Gadd and Armstrong for 432.50 and #128774 issued to Buena Vista County Journal for $12.36. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Bensley and seconded by Stock to adopt Resolution #09-1215, authorizing the County Attorney to join the Iowa County Attorney’s Case Management Project to secure an 80% grant for the purchase of hardware and software to convert to a paperless system compatible with the Clerk of Court, and authorizing the Sac County Attorney to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Iowa Criminal Justice System Integration Initiative. Ayes; Bensley, Hecht and Stock, nays none, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve an application submitted by Frontier Communications of Iowa to bury telephone cable in or across the right of way between Sections 10 and 11, Cedar Twp, being within the boundaries of DD 34. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Bensley to approve a tile crossing in Section 24, Richland Twp. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
