Minutes of the March 1, 2011 Sac County Supervisors Meeting

The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jack Bensley, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve the claims as listed on the claims register in the Auditor’s office. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to authorize the Chairman to sign a plan document for Nationwide Retirement System annuity for county employees at the employee’s expense. Ayes all, motion carried.
Eric Mueggenberg with The Trileaf Corporation was present to answer questions about the Post Remediation Monitoring Plan for the former Schultz property. Mr. Mueggenberg agreed to rewrite the proposal to relieve the county of any financial burden and re-submit it for consideration.
John Torbert, Executive Director of the Iowa Drainage Districts Association, updated the Board on current status of law suits in Calhoun County and Monona Counties regarding drainage and any drainage legislation proposals before the Iowa Legislature.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to authorize the Chairman to sign a three-year contract for Targeted Case Management Services between Sac County and the Iowa Department of Human Services beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2014. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve a $1,000.00 step increase in salary for Sac County Case Manager Melissa Daisy and a 50 cent per hour step increase in wages for LaDonna Rasmussen, Office Manager for Sac County Mental Health Services. Ayes all, motion carried.
There was no report from the County Engineer’s office.
The Board and the County Auditor briefly discussed the 2011/12 county budget as it will be proposed at the public hearing on March 8, 2011.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
