East Sac County School Board passes budget guarantee resolution
LAKE VIEW, IOWA – MARCH 21, 2011
According to East Sac County School Board Manager John Kraft, several years ago the Iowa legislatures passed a law where each school district’s budget is not allowed to b less than 101% of the previous years cost per student X number of students. This is called the 101 percent guarantee.
Because this is funded by local property taxes, it is required that the school board pass a resolution each year keeping it in place. This is CONTAINED within the $10.07 levy for 2011 – 2012 reviewed during the LINK 2011 – 2012 budget hearing held on March 21, 2011. UNLINK
The school board adopted the resolution unanimously.
