Sac City, Iowa maintenance department unable to get normal work done unless part time employee given full benefits

SAC CITY, IOWA – SEPTEMBER 27, 2010

Nn the table at the September 27, 2010 Sac City Council meeting was the issue of creating a full time position. Surprisingly, the council took a momentary pause in the unfettered spending on employee benefits to look more deeply into the issue before authorizing it.

The issue was tabled and they will take it up again at the October 11, 2010 council meeting.

As soon as the council moves forward with this, I will publish the name of the person that they have already decided will get the job.

The council used the “send it to a committee” cop out to keep the public from knowing what is really going on and to protect them from any political fall-out.

  1. Come on now. Remember the taxes in this town are among the highest in Iowa. The only way to survive is to work for the city. I suggest all put in applications. This must be the "Master Plan", because lowering taxes or trying to save money is not being done. Unfortunately I don't think we will all be hired.........
