FWIW, what is currently 196 will become US 71 as part of this whole expansion - 71 will no longer go through Lake View; it will go straight from the current 196/71/175 split north to the new Hwy 20. I was not at this P&Z meeting and have no knowledge of their intentions, but it'll take a lot less work to "grow" Sac City along an existing highway (even if/when it becomes a county road) a half mile than to "grow" a couple miles north where no infrastructure currently exists.
ReplyDeleteProbably see the businesses for sale. They are outside the city limits for a reason, lower taxes. Remember if they are in the city, the city is responsible for all of the utilities and road maintanence.
ReplyDeleteHere comes SLEC(SAC-LYT Economic Corridor). We like Lytton and we ain't ..
ReplyDeleteSLEC?
ReplyDeleteThe aren't actual adults wasting their time thinking up something that stupid for real, right? You're being sarcastic...
Given the increase in grants and subsidies, both federal and state(IDED) available for these economic districts(corridors)for such things such as spec buildings, infrastructure/utilities, transportation, etc. it might be worth a look. At the very least it might pay for maintenance of the old highway? Just sayin..

Is this written by a second grader? Dose or could it be does. There homes or should it be their homes. Set or should it be sit. I guess you could always count nails at the Howard Center. And what the hell is a gost? At least you spelled town correctly.
I don't know much about this stuff, but I didn't see a "general" comment area on your homepage so I'm posting here. Have you heard or seen anything as to why the pool isn't open? Its kind of a bummer ...
ReplyDeleteWhat a bunch of intelligent educated people we have apparently about the Sac City area! It is very entertaining to read some of the silly unrealistic remarks. People are people no matter where you are for the most part! They are no different in Sac City then most anywhere else.
