Richard Bruce Savage, age 74, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in Wall Lake, Iowa. Richard was born January 28, 1936, in Laclede, Missouri, the son of William G. and Madeline (McDonald) Savage. He graduated from Cresco, Iowa, high school in 1953. On August 30, 1957, he was united in marriage to Susan C. Miller at Storm Lake.
Richard spent three years in the United States Navy. After that he spent most of his life as an over the road truck driver hauling everything from refrigerated beef to Rolls Royce jet engines. He retired from driving in 2007 but did not stray far from the big rigs as he worked part time detailing used trucks for sale in Lake View.
His family includes his wife Susan; a son Jeff and wife Micki of Edmond, OK; daughter Melody and husband Richard Schroeder of Odebolt; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister Pat Siebenmark of Federal Way, Washington; and extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Greg.
