Marvin Nielsen, age 79, of Odebolt, Iowa and formerly of Alta and Schaller, Iowa died June 10, 2010 at Odebolt Nursing & Rehab Center in Odebolt, Iowa.
Marvin Nielsen, the son of Peter and Mary (Chourt) Nielsen, was born in Battle Creek, Iowa on June 5, 1931. He attended various country schools during his youth.
Marvin worked construction his whole life at Grundman Hicks in Cherokee, Iowa and Paul Park Construction in Storm Lake.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Ervin (Rose) Nielsen from Sioux City, Iowa; his sister, LaVerne Werner of Lakefield, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet; three sisters: Irene Hummel, Helen Staton, Betty Nielsen; and five brothers: Clarence, Lowell, Gilbert, Louis and Norman.
