This morining Ben Smith, who is contesting the Sac County Attorney seat, held a meet and greet event at the Crossroads Restaurant in Early, Iowa. These are videos of that event.
TSN has requested notification of any similar event that Earl Hardisty, the current Sac County Attorney, may choose to hold in the future. As of April 22, 2010 Mr. Hardisty has no event scheduled.
Mr. Smith introduces himself, gives a little of his history.
Mr. Smith tells those gathered why he thinks he would make a good county attorney.
“The position needs a positive attitude.” (viewer comments and questions)
Mr. Smith explains how to participate in the primary system, how to help his campaign.
After the meeting, I had a conversation with Mr. Smith regarding his position about prosecuting minors for harassment.
