Rick Jeckell, age 58, of Schaller, Iowa died July 2, 2011 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.
Rick William Jeckell was born December 12, 1952 in Sac City, Iowa the son of Raymond and Vivian (Weber) Jeckell- Keuhn. As an infant, he was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Early, Iowa where he was later confirmed in 1965.

Growing up, Rick attended grade school at Crestland and graduated from Crestland High School in 1972.

On June 24, 1995, Rick was united in marriage to Tammy Sackett in Schaller, Iowa. Together, they were blessed with three children: Thad, Jesse and Daniel.

Rick treasured spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and also the Ridgeview Raptors where he loved watching his son, Daniel’s sporting events. He also enjoyed going to this granddaughters dance recitals. Rick took great pride in building his business of gravel trailers and was a very hard worker. In his spare time, he enjoyed going golfing, fishing and camping. Rick loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Tammy (Sackett) Jeckell of Schaller, Iowa; children: Thad (Ambia) Jeckell of Santa Barbara, California; Jesse (Shawn) Wiese of Sioux City, Iowa; Daniel Jeckell of Schaller, Iowa; grandchildren: Kylie, Alexa, and Carter Wiese of Sioux City, Iowa; Tristin Jeckell of Santa Barbara, California; brother, Tom (Kathie) Jeckell of Lodi, Wisconsin; sisters: Renee (Ellis) Shipley of Milan, Missouri; Michele (Jeff Butler) Smith of Milan Missouri; stepfather, Guy Keuhn of Trenton, Missouri; extended family and many friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Vivian Jeckell; infant brother, Tim Jeckell; and infant granddaughter, Karlie Wiese.
