October 11, 2010 Sac City Council Call to Order

SAC CITY, IOWA – OCTOBER 11, 2010

Mayor Barb Powell called the October 11, 2010 Sac City Council meeting to order at 6:30PM and instructed the city clerk, Sandy Tellinghuisen to take roll call. Gary Hansen, Jim Johnston, Bill Brenny, Jim Frederick, and Nick Frohardt were present. No council members were absent.

The mayor thank the citizens present for attending and instructed them to address any agenda items they wished during the discussion and to use the item called “Citizens Opportunity to Address the Council” to talk about any item that did not appear on the evening’s agenda.


Frohardt and Johnston wondered why the city is purchasing patching material from Farmer’s Coop. According to Sac City Administrator Adam Ledford it is cheaper to do so.

Frohardt questioned a liability insurance bill from ICAP for $102,780.35. According to City Clerk Sandy Tellinghuisen, that is the total amount.

Councilperson Bill Brenny pointed out an error in the minutes regarding an incorrectly attributed motion.

The Consent Agenda was approved unanimously.
