SCHLESWIG, IOWA – SEPTEMBER 28, 2010
The 8th grade volleyball team took on Schleswig in Jr. High volleyball action on Tuesday, September 28 in Sac City.
The A team advanced to 5-0 on the season by taking all three games 21-13, 21-11, 15-5.
Kylie Belt, Jordan Fischer, Megan Pickhinke, and Ariana Batz all hit over 80% of their serves.
Jaylynn Peters was 7 for 8 in attacks with 3 kills while Ariana completed 9 out of 11 with 4 kills to lead the A team.
The B team also won all three games to advance to 5-0 for the season 21-16, 21-10, 15-9.
Sydney Schwanz, Tasha Bettin, and Jackie Peterson served well for the B team. Sydney also led the team in attacks completing 11 out of 13 with 3 kills.
The C team once again fought hard but dropped their 5th match of the season 16-21, 12-21, 12-15.
Jessica Pierce connected on 9 out of 11 serves with 1 ace to lead the C team in serving.
The Raiders next JR. High volleyball action will be on Thursday, October 1 when they travel to Rockwell City to take on the Titans.
