SAC CITY, IOWA – SEPTEMBER 23, 2010
The 8th grade volleyball team took on the Titans of South Central Calhoun in Jr. High volleyball action on Thursday, September 23 in Sac City.
The A team advanced to 4-0 on the season by taking 2 out of 3 games 21-8, 21-9, 16-18.
Kylie Belt hit 7 out of 8 serves with 2 aces and Megan Pickhinke was 14 for 17 with 8 aces to lead the A team in serving.
Jaylynn peters went 11 for 11 in attacks with 5 kills and Ariana Batz was 10 for 11 with 3 kills to help with the win.
The B team also claimed a 4-0 record for the season as they won the best 2 out of 3 games 14-21, 21-12, 15-11.
Tasha Bettin hit 4 out of 4 serves and Sarah Brouwer was 8 for 9 with 2 aces to lead the B team in serving.
Sydney Schwanz hit 15 out of 19 attacks with 3 kills in hitting action for the B team.
The C team dropped their 4th match of the season, but once again had some hard fought games 17-21, 18-21, 3-15.
Kenzie Giese hit 10 out of 10 serves with 1 ace and Shyann Cummisky was 9 for 10 with 2 aces in serving for the Raiders.
