1. After a search by the city, Mid American was narrowed down as most cost effective supplier of power.
Findings and recommendations:
2. Steinkamp concerned about exposure to liability on page 18 of contract, (not featured)
- City attorney explains that the city would hold Mid-American harmless, and MA would hold the city harmless.
3. Steinkamp expresses concern about how complicated the billing is and wonders about the possibility of auditing bills. Wants to be comfortable with accuracy before agreeing.
- Engineer feels auditing would be cost prohibitive.
-- Engineer not present at meeting.
Resolution entering into contract with Mid-American to supply power passes.

The city chose poorly for their consultant. There were other alternatives but the consultant led the city down this path because it helps keep his gravy train running because now they will have to keep paying him consulting fees to be in MISO for the next five years. Too bad it is going to cost the citizens of Lake View money for his poor advice.
