4. Middle School Building PPEL considerations.
- Is there a decent bed for a new parking lot to asphalt the parking lot on the south side?
-- the asphalt company would lay a proper bed if needed.
-- Wilhelm is against blacktopping south parking lot dues to less usage, but would be in favor of white rocking the lot.
--Sands in favor of asphalting this lot.
- Hard surface parking near the band room?
-- Phillips is in favor of dressing up this parking lot in some way, (White rock)
---Feels the school may run into problems with the utilities underneath this parking if hard surfaced.
--Wilhelm is concerned about doing anything permanent in that parking because all of the utilities come into the building under that parking lot.
- Superintendent asks boards to think about replacing basketball court because the property look second rate.
-- Wilhelm s neutral to basketball court.
-- Phillips thinks the court look awful
- Repaving of north lot discussed.
-- Will revisit.
- Sidewalk
-- Will cost $12 to $14K.
-- Will not be done before school starts.
-- Board directs Superintendent to get bids and move forward with the sidewalk project.
