Wall Lake Clerk’s Update for July 12, 2010
WALL LAKE, IOWA – JULY 12, 2010
1. Nuisance properties.
- Potts intends to fix the roof yet this summer.
-- Residents attending meeting want the city council to move faster.
--- Potts just bought the house, lives in Iowa Falls.
---Mayor agrees with residents, wants a timeline in writing.
- Zeigler property in compliance.
2. Well project.
- The project is going to be resubmitted to IJobs on July 24. (Missed the first round by one point)
- SRF funding is approved
3. John Healy shop and house natural gas line tap.
-The Black hills Energy rep recommended that the line be tapped in two places to avoid having to run a line across 1000+ feet of active farm field.
4. Economic Development is looking into starting an endowment fund for Wall Lake.
-Next economic development meet is set for August 2, 2010 at (get time) (get place)
5. There are people in the community that are constructing things without a building permit.
- Clerk is contacting those owners.
6. Mike Lawler called in reference to sidewalk at Frisbee house.
- Sidewalk has been torn out.
7. Complaint filed against fire department for fireworks show.
- Debris has landed in yard for last three years
- Resident wants show moved further away from her house.
8. John Morrow not on economic development committee.
