Sac School board wants more information before they approve purchase of used bus
SAC CITY, IOWA – JUNE 21, 2010
1. Cost: $51,500 (max, there are two possible identical buses, he’ll take the one with the lowest miles.)
- A new bus is 85K to 90K.
2. They are 2008 Thomas buses.
3. Money comes out of 1 cent sales tax or PPEL fund.
4. Is there is a correlation between bus that was sitting all winter and purchase of new (used) bus?
- Superintendant directed to bring more information back to the board before approval.
5. Purchase to be reconsidered during July meeting.
