MASON CITY, IOWA – Freshman Morgan Hansen (Dayton, Iowa/Southeast Webster) shot an 88 to finish tied for second that helped lead the AIB women’s golf team to a first place finish at the NIACC Invitational at Highland Park Golf Course Monday.
Hansen finished one shot back of medalist honors as the Eagles finished with a team total of 380, seven shots better than second place Iowa Lakes. Sophomore Kristina Teig (Atlantic, Iowa/Atlantic) shot a 91, tying for fourth overall. Sophomore Brittany Livengood (Eagle Grove, Iowa/Clarion-Goldfield) tied for seventh with a 96. Freshman Haylee Schefler (Sac City, Iowa/East Sac) finished tied for 12th with a 105, and sophomore Kayla Routson (Norwalk, Iowa/Southeast Polk) finished tied for 17th with a 111.
The Eagles return to the course April 28 when they will compete in the MCC Invitational at the Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown.
