EARLY, IOWA - APRIL 5, 2011
-Casey’s has a contract to purchase the land in the northwest corner of Early, Iowa
- They are agreeing to be voluntarily annexed into the city of Early.
-There will be a public hearing for this at the May 3, 2011 Early City Council Meeting.
-- A representative of Casey’s will be attending this hearing to answer the council’s questions.
- Councilors talk about the two types of specific alternatives for dealing with the sewer lines. One alternative is to add a manhole specifically for Casey’s, the other would see Casey’s hooking into the existing manhole. It was bid both ways.
- There is not a set start time for this project. City clerk characterized the start time as “…down the road a ways”
- The council intends to invite Shirley Phillips to the hearing.
