Linda Gayle (Krause) Nuckolls, age 70, of Lake View, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at her home in Lake View.


Linda was born on December 26, 1939, in Bakersfield, California, the daughter of Adolph and Hyacinth (White) Krause. She was baptized in

1949 and attended East Bakersfield High School. After her marriage to Leslie Robert “Bob” Nuckolls on June 16, 1961, in Carson City, NV, they

lived in Paso Robles, CA, where she became a member of the 1st Christian Church, taught Sunday School, and was a Chi Rho leader. They

moved to Iowa in September of 1998.


Linda worked as a Make-up Artist/Skin Care Consultant for many years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia, dolls,

listening to rock and roll music from the 50’s, and reading. She loved spending time at the family cabin at Pine Flat, CA, and go horse-back

riding and swimming with her cousins and friends. She was active in her children’s lives, President of the Pre-School Mothers, and Georgia

Brown PTA President. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother brought her great joy.


Survivors include her husband Bob Nuckolls of Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City; sons: Darren (Tammy) Nuckolls of Early and Kevin

(Elizabeth) Nuckolls of Salinas, CA; daughter Debra (Stan) Abbott of Salinas, CA; brother Bob (Mary) Krause of Santa Barbara, CA; four

grandchildren: Leslie Lancaster of Salinas, CA, and Jacob, Joseph and Benjamin Nuckolls all of Early; great-grandson Sebastian Krautkraemer

of Santa Maria, CA; extended family members and many life-long friends.


Linda was preceded in death by her father Adolph Krause, mother Hyacinth Krause, and nephew Andy Krause.
