School boards delay superintendent hiring decision until March 25, 2010

According to East Sac County School business manager John Kraft, the joint school boards took no action in hiring a new superintendent this evening. It is expected that they will make a decision at tomorrow night’s board meeting.

That meeting will be at 6:00PM at the Sac City Elementary building. Here is the complete agenda.

3. Closed Session re: Superintendent Contract
The Board will go into closed session as provided in Chapter 21.5.1.i, of the Iowa Code, to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputations and that individual requests a closed session.
4. Discuss and/or Approve Superintendent Contract Offer
