Until December 31, 2009, Sac County Coroner Dr. David Youberg is was compensated at a rate of $65.00 per service performed. On January 19, 2009, the Sac County Supervisors in response to a request from Dr. Youberg, increased that rate to $100.00 per service retroactive to January 1, 2010.
Supervisor Rick Hecht noted that there had not been an increase for the doctor in the entire time he has been seated as a county supervisor and that all of the neighboring county coroners are compensated at a rate that is "...considerably higher."
