The Sac City Park Board has a gender inequity in that there is a higher ratio of males to females on that board. Suzanne Johnson approached the council about serving on one of Sac City's Council appointed boards, so Earl Zimmerman, who sits on the Park Board, offered to let her take his seat on that board and then move over to the Revolving Loan Fund board.
The Sac City Council is jockeying to be in gender balance compliance by the time it becomes law on January 1, 2012 and approved the appointments on January 11, 2010.
