During the February 22, 2010 Sac City Council forum, Councilperson Jim Frederick questioned why the council wasn’t getting a monthly report from the airport regarding, (for instance) how many take-offs and landings there are, and how much fuel they sell. According to City Administrator Adam Ledford, A representative of the airport commission is going to be at the March 8 Sac City Council meeting, and thinks that would be a great opportunity to address that issue.
Jim Frederick said that he liked the way the Sac Library is keeping up with technology.
According to City Administrator Adam Ledford, the Airport and the Fair board have worked out an agreement whereby the airport will provide temporary housing for the equipment that was stored in the building on the fairgrounds whose roof had collapsed.
The Sac County Endowment awarded the City of Sac City $6,000 for the use of purchasing playground equipment. This amount is about half of what the city requested.
The lining portion of the sewer project between the pool and 11th street on Gishwiller has begun.
The mayor reported that there would be a non-public meeting for the following day for people that were interested in taking over the businesses of the current elderly business owners that want to quit.
The mayor proposed a privately funded, but city managed fund for sending memorials for those who have passed away while in the service of the city.
